metatarsalgie

Often known as metatarsalgia, it occurs when the pressure on the foot is not evenly distributed over a longer period of time. This overloads the metatarsal heads.

Mostly this is a concomitant phenomenon to a skewfoot with fallen arches or a hallux valgus. The pain is in the bunion area, behind 2nd and 3rd toe. Usually a callus is also visible.

By straightening the heel and an additional soft bedding in the painful area, the pressure is taken away.

In case of very strong pain, additional shoes with a thicker sole are recommended, because with these the pressure is distributed more evenly during rolling motion!
